Tree Trimming & Underbrush Clearing in Dunnellon, FL

Our most-requested service. We take down dead and hazardous branches, open up crowded canopies, and clear the tangled underbrush that has crept in around your home, fence lines, and trails.

What tree trimming and underbrush clearing covers

Florida properties fill in fast. A season or two of rain turns a walkable treeline into a wall of saw palmetto, greenbrier, and volunteer scrub, and the oaks and pines you actually want start carrying dead limbs over your roof, driveway, and fence.

We handle both sides of that problem in one visit: selective trimming of low, dead, rubbing, and storm-vulnerable branches, and full removal of the underbrush growing beneath them. What is left is an open, park-like understory where you can see your treeline again, walk it, mow it, and keep it that way.

How we work through a property

Craig walks the property with you first and marks what stays. The specimen oaks, the shade trees near the house, the pines along the back line — those get protected and pruned, not removed. Everything crowding them out gets cut and run through the mulcher on site.

Because the brush is ground into mulch rather than piled and hauled, there are no burn piles, no dump trailers coming and going, and no rutted-up lawn. The chips are spread back across the cleared ground, where they hold soil in place through the summer storms.

Trimming for appearance, safety, and healthy growth

Good trimming does three jobs at once. It improves how the property looks from the road, it takes the hazard out of branches hanging over roofs, drives, and fence lines, and it encourages the tree to put its energy into strong, well-spaced growth instead of crowded and failing limbs.

Removing dead or damaged wood also protects the structural integrity of the tree itself. A canopy that is thinned and balanced carries wind better, sheds less, and holds its shape for decades — which is a straightforward way to protect the value of the property it sits on.

Hurricane season in Marion and Citrus Counties

Most of the tree damage we see around here is not a healthy tree failing — it is a dead limb that had been hanging for two years finally letting go in a 50 mph gust. Trimming those out before June is the cheapest storm insurance a property owner can buy.

Clearing the underbrush does the same job for wildfire. Dry palmetto and dead scrub under a canopy is ladder fuel; removing it puts real distance between a ground fire and your treeline and structures. The best time to book this work is well ahead of the season, while the ground is dry and the schedule is open.

What to Expect

How the job runs, start to finish

Four steps on every property, whether it is a quarter acre behind the house or forty acres of back pasture.

01

Walk the property together

Craig meets you on site, looks at the canopy and the understory, and listens to what is bothering you — the limb over the roof, the fence line you cannot find, the view you want back.

02

Mark the trees that stay

Specimen oaks, shade trees, and healthy pines are flagged for protection and selective pruning. Only crowding, dead, and hazardous growth is slated for removal.

03

Trim and clear

Hazard limbs come down first, then the underbrush beneath them is cleared and mulched on site — no burn piles and no debris trailers in your driveway.

04

Final walkthrough

We walk it with you before we load up, tidy anything you point out, and make sure the finished look matches what we agreed on.

What Neighbors Say

Craig did a fantastic job clearing my half acre. He left all of the cool trees and mulched the straggly ones. He took extra time to really break down the mulch so I could create a garden with it. Fair price and great attention to detail. Will definitely call him again!
