Why tilling matters on sandy, compacted ground
Much of the ground around Dunnellon and Ocala is packed sand with a hard crust and very little organic matter. Roots cannot get through it, water either runs off or drains straight past, and seedlings sit and sulk.
Rotor tilling breaks that layer open, aerates several inches down, and mixes in whatever amendment you want to add — compost, manure, or the mulch from a clearing job we already did for you.
